Last September, at Weekend Media Festival, the main marketing conference in Croatia, we held a well-attended workshop on service design. As Croatia is a famous tourist destination we thought it would be a good idea to challenge the audience to imagine a new purpose for now obsolete pay-phones and come up with ideas how to use them to boost tourism by connecting various services at local level.
Shortly after the conference we met with HT to present the concept and the key takeaways from our workshop. The ideas were regarded as interesting, but at the time no immediate effect resulted from our conversations. Almost a year later, we are glad to see that HT has finally decided to give them a try.
